Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Low Properties ("Low Properties", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website and platform available at lowproperties.com (the "Platform").
We are a technology platform and SaaS service that enables real estate professionals, property owners, buyers, tenants, and agents to discover, list, and communicate about properties. We are not a real estate broker, agent, or any party to property transactions.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we process it, with whom we share it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to all users of our Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Identity Data
When you register, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and password (hashed). For agent or seller accounts, we may collect business name, agency details, and RERA registration number where applicable.
2.2 Property Listing Data
If you list a property, we collect listing details including property address, description, pricing, photos, and location coordinates. This information is published publicly on the Platform.
2.3 Usage & Interaction Data
We collect information about how you use the Platform: pages visited, search queries, properties viewed or saved, and feature interactions. This data is anonymised for aggregate analytics and is never sold.
2.4 Device & Technical Data
We automatically collect IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and referral URL for security, fraud prevention, and performance monitoring.
2.5 Communication Data
When you use in-platform messaging or contact support, we store message content, timestamps, and participant identifiers. SMS messages are sent via Twilio; we retain the message SID (a reference ID) and delivery status but do not store the content of OTP messages after delivery.
2.6 Payment Metadata
We record transaction identifiers, payment provider name (Stripe, Razorpay, or PhonePe), amount, currency, and status for subscription billing. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details — all sensitive payment processing is handled exclusively by our payment providers.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Authenticate your identity via email verification, SMS OTP (Twilio), or Google OAuth
- Enable property listings, searches, and communications between users
- Process subscription payments via third-party payment gateways (not property transactions)
- Send transactional notifications (password resets, account alerts, booking confirmations)
- Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorised access, and abuse
- Generate anonymised platform-level analytics
- Comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian and international law
We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we explicitly do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data (including mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information) to any third party for their commercial or marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Integrations & Data Sharing
We share limited data with the following service providers only as necessary to operate the Platform:

All providers are contractually obligated to process data only as instructed and to maintain adequate security standards. None are permitted to use your data for their own commercial purposes or marketing.
We may also disclose data to law enforcement or government bodies where required by applicable law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
5. SMS & WhatsApp Communications
Low Properties uses Twilio to send SMS and WhatsApp messages exclusively for:
- One-time passwords (OTP) for account verification and two-factor authentication
- Critical account security alerts (e.g., new login from unknown device)
- Transactional platform notifications (e.g., property inquiry received, lease signed)
We do not send marketing, promotional, or solicitation messages via SMS or WhatsApp without your explicit opt-in consent. By registering on our Platform, you consent to receive the transactional messages listed above as they are essential to Platform security and operation.
You may opt out of non-critical notification SMS messages in your account notification preferences. OTP messages cannot be disabled as they are required for account security.

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following minimum periods:
- Active account data: Retained for the duration of your account.
- Deleted accounts: Account data is anonymised or purged within 90 days of deletion, except where retention is required by law.
- Payment records & invoices: Retained for 7 years to comply with Indian financial and tax regulations (GST Act, Income Tax Act).
- Audit logs: Retained for 3 years for security and compliance review.
- Communication logs (support): Retained for 2 years after ticket closure.
- SMS/OTP delivery records: Retained for 90 days for fraud and abuse investigation.
After applicable retention periods, data is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
7. Your Rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
- Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

9. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security controls to protect your data, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest (passwords hashed with bcrypt)
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) available and enforced for agent accounts
- Role-based access control (RBAC) limiting internal data access to authorised staff
- Audit logging of all administrative actions
- Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@lowproperties.com.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that data has been collected from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@lowproperties.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
